Resources for Families

Straight answers about home care: what it costs, how it works, and how to tell when it is time.

Common questions families ask

These answers help reduce hesitation and move families closer to booking a consultation.

How quickly can care start?

In many situations, we can discuss same-day or next-day options depending on the client’s needs and caregiver availability.

Do you help with LTC insurance?

Yes. We operate as a private-pay provider and help families with the paperwork and documentation often needed for reimbursement.

What if we are not sure what type of care is needed?

That is common. Call us and we’ll help you think through the situation and recommend the right level of support.

How much does care cost?

Every family’s needs are different, so we don’t do one-size-fits-all pricing. After a free consultation, you’ll get a personalized quote based on hours, schedule, and level of support — and we’re always upfront about costs before care starts.

Who will my caregiver be?

You’ll always know who’s coming into your home. We match caregivers to each client by needs and personality, and Rosalinda personally introduces every caregiver at a welcome visit before solo shifts begin.

What if we only need a few hours a week?

That’s completely fine. Many families start with just a few hours a week for companionship, errands, or light help — and adjust as needs change.

What happens at the first visit?

Rosalinda comes to the home to meet everyone, learn routines, and make sure the client and family are comfortable with the caregiver and the plan. Nothing starts until everyone’s at ease.

What if our caregiver is sick?

We’ll tell you right away and make a plan together — that may mean a qualified substitute or one of the owners stepping in. You’ll never be left guessing.

Why use an agency instead of hiring someone directly?

When you hire privately, you become the employer — handling taxes, insurance, screening, and finding backup when they’re sick. With us, that’s all handled: our caregivers are trained, supervised, and accountable to one team.

Home care vs. home health care

Families mix these two up all the time. Here’s the simple version.

Home care (what we do)

  • Non-medical help: companionship, personal care, meals, errands, supervision
  • No doctor’s order needed
  • Usually private pay or long-term care insurance

Home health care

  • Medical care: nurses, therapists, wound care, medication management
  • Requires a doctor’s order
  • Often covered by Medicare or health insurance

If your loved one needs medical care at home, we’ll tell you honestly and help point you toward the right kind of provider.

Use your long-term care insurance benefits with confidence.

Many families are unsure how long-term care insurance works for home care. We help simplify the process and provide the documentation families often need.

  • Understand how benefits may apply to in-home care
  • Receive invoices and documentation for reimbursement
  • Get help understanding next steps
  • Reduce confusion during an already stressful time
